Volunteers Needed for Bolsa Chica Reserve Watch

We have great news to share…

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with four non-profits, have created the Reserve Watch program to education the public about Bolsa Chica’s environment, history, and the rules of the Reserve. This program is a new effort to connect our community with the Reserve and to foster respect and understanding for the amazing wildlife that live here. Volunteers will also help monitor (e.g. Endangered Green Sea Turtle) and report on the plants and animals they observe.

Training will begin in October in collaboration with the City of Huntington Beach Community and Library Services, Fire and Police Department, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the four non-profit groups.

For this program to thrive, we need your help! Please share the attached flyer with your members, staff, volunteers to help recruit volunteers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or Annie Daw at annie@bcerwatch.org.

Thank you for your support!
